Insparks ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

Account information: Name, email address, and password hash when you register.
Voice recordings: Audio files you record are uploaded to our servers for AI transcription.
Notes and content: Text notes, tags, summaries, and attachments you create.
Device information: Device model, OS version, and app version for crash reporting and diagnostics.
Usage analytics: Anonymous interaction events (e.g., screens visited, features used) to improve the product.

2. How We Use Your Data

Transcription: Voice recordings are processed by AI services (OpenAI Whisper) to generate transcriptions and summaries. Recordings are stored on our servers and are not shared with third parties beyond the transcription service.
Product improvement: Anonymized usage data helps us understand which features are valuable.
Crash reporting: We use Sentry to collect crash reports and performance data. These may include device info and breadcrumbs but never recording content.
Communication: We may email you about important product updates or beta feedback requests. You can opt out at any time.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on encrypted servers. Voice recordings and notes are associated with your account and are not accessible to other users. We use HTTPS for all data transmission.

4. Third-Party Services

OpenAI: For voice transcription and summarization. Audio is sent to OpenAI's API and processed according to their API data usage policy.
Sentry: For crash and error reporting.
Apple: For Sign in with Apple authentication.
Google: For Google Sign-In authentication.

5. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

You have the right to:

Access: Request a copy of all data we hold about you.
Delete: Request deletion of your account and all associated data including recordings, notes, and personal information.
Export: Download your notes and recordings.
Correct: Update your personal information at any time through the app.
Withdraw consent: Stop using the service and request data deletion.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data (recordings, notes, personal information) will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy

Insparks is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification.
